BASIC CNC THEORY, CONTROLS, AND APPLICATIONS
COURSE DESCRIPTION
A
24 HOUR PROGRAM
This
course is designed for an audience with little or no experience
with CNC controlled machines. The maximum number of students
per class is six. The course will deliver a basic knowledge
foundation for operating, maintaining and managing a CNC
controlled machine. This 3-day course can be tailored for
a variety of machine types, applications and control specific
knowledge required to introduce your personnel to the wonderful
world of CNC machining.
The
Course will discuss and explore such topics as:
- Overview
of the various types and style of machines
- General
terminology associated with CNC machining
- Safety
measures required for personnel and machine
- Overview
of axis control and the machining cube
- Overview
of auxiliary equipment utilized by CNC machines
- Overview
of the FANUC 15 MA, MB, or I series control
- G code
analysis and application
- M code
analysis and application
- Creating
and maintaining basic CNC programs
- Offset
generation and calculation
- Feeds
& speeds analysis & calculations
This
course will be delivered in a 80/20 lecture to hands on
ratio. Safety for both personnel and equipment will be emphasized
at all time and for all topics. The course will deliver
the students the prerequisite knowledge and skills required
to be successful when beginning the journey of working with
CNC machines. To receive maximum benefit from this training,
We request that the training take place at Ingersoll, however,
we can deliver the course at your facility if it is necessary.
